Yankees Finally Clinch
The Yankees are now in the midst of one of the greatest streaks ever, this year will mark a 13Th strait trip to the postseason. The Yankees have won the AL east every year since 1998, but like i said before their in. This is where the Yankees do their damage except of recent years. The Yankees live in the post season.
What is very impressive is the way the Yankees have played since late may. The Yankees got off to one of their worst starts in franchise history. Alot of analyst counted the Yankees out of it very early on. And you cannot do that, because they are playing the game of baseball, and i should know. I played baseball for Cortland my freshman and sophomore year. Baseball is a very weird sport. It is about timing, can you do the things you need to do when it matters most, and the Yankees did that. When the games really started to matter, they did there best work. The Yankees have the best major league record since the All-star break.
I truly believe this is the year, if the Yankees don't at least make it to the world series i really think George Steinbrenner is really going to lose it. And you wonder what will happen to the Yankees next year. Only time will time, but like i said, baseball is a very weird game. On any given day the best team can lose to the worst team. That is why baseball;ll players need to show up to every game, and not take any opponent lightly.

Barry Bonds
Most analyst are predicting that bonds would be most suitable for an American league team where Barry could be the designated hitter. This would suit Barry the best, not having to worry about playing the field, and can focus on his hitting and trying to stay healthy, which has been bonds' biggest problem over the last five years. Alot of analyst think that Barry will end up with the angels, or mariners next season.
shadowed by steroid speculation for the past few years, Bonds has hit 28 homers this season, raising his career total to 762. These are the numbers that are persuading teams to pursue Barry bonds, to help revitalize any MLB franchise. Bonds still leads the major league in some important offense categories like walks and on-base percentage. This will appeal to most MLB teams. But will this be enough for teams to sign Barry, because Barry does come with alot of excess baggage. Only time will tell if any MLB team is willing to take the chance on the ever aging but still powerful Bonds.

New York Rangers and the NHL
What i really don't get is how people don't like hockey, it is such a fast moving, hard hitting game, i don't understand how anyone can not like it. What also gets me upset is how people talk about, hockey not being one of the major sports. This gets me very upset, i don't see how that could be possible, it has all the aspects of all the major sports. Hockey has some of the best fans in any sports. Just like myself. And i ma not ashamed to admit it. Like i said before, i am a huge rangers fan, i know everything there is to know about everything regarding the team.
Last year, was one the rangers greatest seasons in a long time. They made it to the second round of the eastern cup playoffs, and pretty much had the sabers beat, they just let it slip away. This year will be better for the rangers, with the additions of the two best free agents on the market, scott gomez and chris drury. Plus resigning many key players, such as king henrik lundqvist, veteran brendan shannahan, marty straka, marcel hossa, and newcomer sean avery. Nothing less of the Stanley cup will be a disappointment to me and the rangers.
I went to 6 rangers games last season, 5 games at the garden and one game in buffalo, i went to a regular season game in buffalo, i was the only person on the arena wearing a new york rangers jersey, i loved it. So everyone be prepared for the rangers season opener Oct,4Th, that's when it begins, the rangers quest for the cup.

T.O.
Here it is, the dawn of the 2007 NFL season and, honestly, has anyone heard so much as a peep out of Terrell Owens? T.O.'s mouth has been muzzled. That's a good thing for Owens and the Dallas Cowboys, who open their season as a trendy pick by many to contend for the NFC championship.
Could it be that Owens finally gets it? Or, once the lights turn on for real in the regular season, will the drama unfold like it typically does? Much of last year's "stories" involved Owens tense relationship with former head coach Bill Parcells. As for the Cowboys' new coach, Wade Phillips, Owens said the two are on the same page "as far as how to play the game."Is anyone on T.O.'s page?
This year, he said he is eyeing 100 receptions, 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns, pretty lofty goals, but he is healthy and more than capable of achieving. He seems at peace, and that's half the battle for Owens. Oh, T.O. feels very good about himself. His problems have mostly been with others in the game, not so much outside the lines, and he implied he doesn't get enough credit for staying out of trouble away from the game.
I thought it was funny hearing T.O. last year, i would just sit and watch, and that's what i think he wants when he puts on these shows. Because i am not a cowboys, it doesn't matter to me, so i just sat back and enjoyed listening to T.O. I hope he does it again this year.

SpyGate
It is the first time in league history a coach and franchise have been disciplined for videotaping, essentially spying on opponents. The Patriots are a team that has won three Super Bowls in six years and that until last week was considered a model of success. All the sports analyst are now talking about the reputation of the patriots being tainted, i don't think it should be, there is no evidence of the patriots doing any of this years ago, however i know they probably were but one cannot make that accusations.
This just makes my point even more, this is the only part of professional sports that i do not like, the cheating aspect, the win at all costs effect. This is not just geared to the patriots because i know for a fact that they are not the only team who does this, but hopefully this huge punishment will make other coach's realize that they should stop doing this.
That's why i prefer college sports for the most part, you do not have to worry about this cheating. The play from the heart, and i sure hope that this kind of activity is going on at the college level. I hope the rest of the league will now realize that the new commissioner will not stand for any of this action anymore. I think the penalty was good. People wanted the coach to be suspended but that would have not meant anything, because he would have influenced the team all long in practice anyways.

CPR
It seems very confusing but I'm sure that i will get the hang of it with some practice and studying. There are difference between adults and infants. In a few weeks i am going to be tested on these skills. I will just walk into a certain scenario or situation and i will have to know what to do, and preform these talks correctly. I am a little nervous because the test is a pass/fail kind of thing, so i need to do good. There is a lot of information that i will need to review before that time comes, so hopefully i will be ready. I have a pretty cool professor so things should be OK, i hope.
There is a lot of responsibility when it comes to saving someones life, i was talking to my professor about it after class, and he said that most people wont even know what to do in an emergency because they are just in shock and the scene is hectic. So he said to remain calm and just try and remember what he is teaching us. And also not just to be a bystander, try and so something productive, if you don't know how to help, call for emergency services as quickly as you can. So we will see what happens. I give alot of props to emergency responders they need to know a lot of things and act quickly without panicking.
